Program Objectives

  • Provide continuing education for licensed Radiologic Technology Professionals (AA, RTs and ARRTs) at the university level.
  • Provide access for professionals to meet their mandated continuing education requirements completing a certificate program.
  • Provide advanced Radiologic Science imaging education to promote excellence in the health care environment.
  • Provide advanced imaging coursework in computer applications, MRI physics and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Provide advanced clinical internships through placements at the Radiologic Science program's affiliate medical centers.
  • Prepare the student for new employment in the magnetic resonance imaging field or adds these responsibilities to current employment.
  • Prepare and may qualify the student to sit for the national advanced imaging MRI certification examination.

Criteria for Admission
