MPH Internship
MPH students are required to complete up to 300 hour internship experience beginning about halfway through the Program. The variation in hours provides the flexibility to accommodate students who already have a great deal of health education experience while also assuring that those who are relatively inexperienced will have ample opportunity to develop their practice skills before leaving the Program. Students may request from their advisor the MPH Field Training Manual. In this Manual students will find the requirements which must be met during the field training experience. Students will be assisted in identifying an appropriate field training agency. Once an agency has been identified, a Field Training Supervisor submits a curriculum vita to verify qualifications to manage a student and a willingness to meet with the University Field Training Coordinator. All Field Work Supervisors must have an MPH as required by our accrediting organization, CEPH.
