Faculty Mentoring Program

The Faculty Mentoring Program provides support to students preparing for or applying to graduate school. Students are paired with a CSUN faculty member and receive one-on-one mentoring prior to submitting their graduate school application.

This program is intended for students who do not have a mentor compensated through another program on campus. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Resources

If selected to participate you must:

  • Maintain open communication with the GRAD Center team and your appointed faculty mentor.
  • Respond to communication received from your appointed mentor and/or the GRAD Center.
  • Attend meetings with your appointed faculty mentor and complete all assigned tasks.

NOTE: While students may provide their preference for a faculty mentor, they may not be paired with that faculty member.

You must be a CSUN student (undergraduate or graduate) who intends to apply or is in the process of applying to a graduate program.

The 2025–2026 application will be available in fall 2025.

We encourage faculty members who would like to serve as a mentor to complete an Interest Form to learn more about this program.
