Student Success Series
The Student Success Series offers workshops to support current students in developing skills for success in their programs. It also provides information to help students find resources for career and professional development.
Workshop Opportunities
- Students must use their CSUN email to register.
- Students will also need to complete a Zoom Registration Form; our office will send the link to access the form before the scheduled workshop.
- Once the Zoom Registration form is complete, students will receive a confirmation email with the meeting instructions.
Special Note: These workshops might be recorded so it can be shared with other students.
Thriving in Graduate School: Essential Skills for Academic Success and Well-Being

Workshop Description: Navigating graduate school can be overwhelming due to the demanding nature of coursework, internships, research, and professional skill development. These demands often leave students feeling stretched thin, with little time for self-care or personal life. This workshop is designed to help graduate students develop the essential skills needed to achieve academic success while maintaining balance and well-being. Attendees will have the opportunity to reassess their understanding of effective study strategies, learn to identify and access resources to overcome potential barriers, and explore strategies for cultivating resilience and avoiding burnout. Attendees will learn how to shift from merely surviving to thriving, paving the way for a graduate school experience that supports growth and personal fulfillment.

Graduate Studies
In the fall, the Graduate Studies office hosts the AGE Graduate Program Coordinator Fair that is designed to connect students with Graduate Coordinators from each of our graduate programs. Students who are interested in attending CSUN for graduate school are encouraged to attend.
