Student Success Series
The Student Success Series offers workshops to support current students in developing skills for success in their programs. It also provides information to help students find resources for career and professional development.
Workshop Opportunities
- Students must use their CSUN email to register.
- Students will also need to complete a Zoom Registration Form; our office will send the link to access the form before the scheduled workshop.
- Once the Zoom Registration form is complete, students will receive a confirmation email with the meeting instructions.
Special Note: These workshops might be recorded so it can be shared with other students.
Financing Your Graduate Education: The Higher Education Hustle
Speaker: Pauline Serrano, MEd, MA

Workshop Description: In this workshop, former CSUN alumni and current professor will discuss the process behind obtaining the necessary funds to support yourself as you navigate higher education. Topics include how to start writing, how to seek mentorship, and how to ask for letters of recommendation.
Human Subject Research (IRB) Workshop

Workshop Description: Human Subject Research (IRB) is defined as activities in which information is obtained about a living person through the means of surveys, interviews, observation and/or experimentation. Graduate students collecting data from human participants for their thesis, dissertation or project.This workshop will focus on the IRB process at CSUN, walk students through the application process and address the timeline for IRB approval.

In the fall, the Career Center hosts a variety of fairs on campus. Attend the Career Fair to explore job opportunities and visit the Graduate School Fair to connect with representatives from graduate programs across the country. Graduate Studies
In the fall, the Graduate Studies office hosts the AGE Graduate Program Coordinator Fair that is designed to connect students with Graduate Coordinators from each of our graduate programs. Students who are interested in attending CSUN for graduate school are encouraged to attend.
