Thesis & Dissertation Deadlines

Deadlines for Thesis/Graduate Project and Dissertation

Students submitting a thesis/project/dissertation: Submitting a date change form will ONLY change your date on Solar. Students must modify their grad date in the Electronic Thesis/Dissertation system [ETD] by the planning form deadline of the anticipated semester/term of graduation.

IMPORTANT: Failure to meet any of the deadlines results in changing your graduation date to the next available semester, and you will be required to register for A&R 601 for $250.

IMPORTANT: It is the student's responsibility to confirm the Graduate Coordinator and all committee members have approved the planning form in ETD in a timely manner and prior to the preliminary deadline.

NOTE: Failure to do so will prohibit the student from submitting their preliminary draft.

Preliminary Formatting for Theses, Dissertation and Graduate Project

IMPORTANT: Preliminary draft stage requires that students have a completed working draft by the preliminary deadline. This means form your Title page to your Appendices must be completed. A student should be at revisionary stage by the preliminary deadline.

NOTE: It is the student's responsibility to check ETD for any required format change(s). On initial review of student's formatting if student is rejected, the Graduate Evaluator gives students TWO days to make corrections and to resubmit in ETD. Subsequent reviews will only be given ONE day to make corrections and to resubmit in ETD. If student has not submitted a "completed" working draft, student will not be given two days to correct their thesis. Student will be required to change their graduation date to the following semester/term and need enrollment.
