A minor in environmental and occupational health (EOH) helps you understand the influences and impact of environmental factors on human health.
EOH professionals bring together different disciplines to uncover the root causes of complex problems in order to develop practical and effective solutions. Whether it’s reducing pollution and waste, or addressing unsafe food and water, EOH drives environmental progress and promotes health, safety and sustainability.
The minor is designed for students in other majors who wish to add skills and knowledge provided by the EOH program. This is an excellent addition for students with majors in public health, nutrition, kinesiology and a variety of sciences.

What You'll Learn
You'll develop a basic science foundation and an understanding of applied concepts on environmental and occupational health.
After you've completed foundation courses in biology, chemistry, microbiological hazards in environmental health and general physics, you'll also take courses on such topics as environmental health law, epidemiology, environmental health and the occupational health environment.
