Partnership Requirements
To ensure a high-quality experience for both students and employers, our program asks sponsoring organizations to commit to:
- Provide continuous employment for the intern—full-time during summer and part-time during academic terms
- Offer substantive technical work that complements academic learning and is approved by the CECS Honor's Co-Op Program Director
- Assign a company supervisor to guide the student's professional growth
- Work with a CSUN faculty advisor to enhance the student's learning experience
- Participate in three evaluation conferences throughout the year
- Provide appropriate wages and applicable company benefits during the student's employment at the company
- Complete periodic assessments of intern performance, ensuring the student's continued development
- Contribute to program sustainability through an annual donation:
- $3,000 for organizations with fewer than 500 employees
- $5,000 for organizations with more than 500 employees
- $500 for each additional intern position
NOTE: This program operates without state funding support, so all funds received are used exclusively to continue the program for our students.
