Apply for Graduation via CSUN Student Portal

Eligible students will receive an email automatically from the university, but you can apply now. CSUN's Office of Graduate Studies lists deadlines to apply for graduation.

Application Opens: February 1, 2024
Application Closes: February 1, 2025

Complete ETD Planning Form

You can complete the Planning Form (step 1) now, and the Dissertation Preliminary Formatting and Dissertation Final Submission (steps 2 and 3) in the term in which you complete degree requirements and graduate. 

Planning Form Info:

On the planning form, you will be prompted to list your dissertation committee members. A couple notes about committee members in the planning form:

• To ensure that your second and third (outside) committee members appear on the list of eligible members on the ETD site, please email the Doctoral Program Office the names and emails of your committee members.
• If the third (outside) member has a non-CSUN affiliation, please include their email address and a copy of their CV.
