About

Mission of the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership

The mission of the California State University, Northridge Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Program is to develop scholar-practitioners who lead educational communities in P12 schools, community colleges, and universities with critical engagement in work for equity and justice, empathetic and ethical practice, critical and creative application of empirical research and experiential knowledge, and innovative and transformative approaches to problem solving.

Vision

Guided by justice and informed by shared knowledge, scholarly literature, and empirical research, the vision of the California State University, Northridge Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Program is to act collectively to critically engage in transformative work that challenges systemic and institutional injustices, dismantles structural inequities, and builds inclusive and equitable learning environments in P12, community college, and university settings to collaboratively create spaces to gather, learn, and connect in solidarity.
