Eleanor Ghanbari, AMFT
Mental Health Response Coordinator
Ellie serves as the Mental Health Response Coordinator with the Mobile Campus Response (MCR) Team at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She is a proud alumna of CSUN’s Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s Program, where she received training at Strength United and Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic. Ellie has worked with college students as both an advocate and therapist, addressing crises, relationship conflict, and trauma, and now brings this perspective to the MCR team.
Experiencing a crisis can be scary, confusing, and overwhelming. Ellie and the MCR team are here to respond with support that is trauma-informed, culturally-responsive, and inclusive of all identities.
In this role, Ellie responds to mental health emergencies and provides follow-up support. She brings calm, respect, and zero judgment, knowing that every person has a unique story. As an Associate therapist, she closely listens to students and staff during tough moments to make sure everyone feels heard and empowered.
Ellie also brings a passion for outreach and prevention in the CSUN community and offers presentations on crisis response and wellness skills.
