Consultations: engages in consultation with concerned faculty, staff, students, and administrative offices on campus; family members, friends, and loved ones; and off-campus mental health agencies and treatment providers
Case Management/Referrals: collaborates with individuals to assist them in accessing on-campus support services (e.g., University Counseling Services, Klotz Student Health Center, Basic Needs Hub, Advising, Disability Resources and Educational Services, Oasis Wellness Center, etc.), as well as off-campus support services (e.g., 12-Step Groups, Mental Health Agencies, Private Practice Referrals, Crisis Stabilization Units, Hospitals, Religious/Spiritual Resources, etc.) as needed
Outreach Programs/Workshops: provides outreach programs to the campus community to de-stigmatize mental health, promote help seeking, learn to recognize signs of distress and utilize de-escalation strategies, and how/when to reach out for assistance. Programs/workshops include:
Crisis Intervention Training & De-Escalation: how to recognize signs of mental health crises, how to respond (e.g., crisis intervention/de-escalation techniques), and crisis resources available on campus.
Community Resilience Model (CRM): introduction of six wellness skills to help individuals learn to track their own nervous systems in order to bring the body, mind, and spirit back into greater balance.
