We serve as a unified voice to university administration about the concerns and needs of Black faculty, staff, and students on campus. We are glad you are here and we look forward to getting to know you – we’d love to connect with you.
Purpose:
- To work for the advancement of the interests of the Black Faculty and Staff at California State University, Northridge, including active recruitment and fair hiring practices, retention through equitable pay, and the promotion of a safe and healthy environment on campus through advocacy in which Black faculty, staff, and administrators thrive.
- To foster connection, community, and resource sharing among Black faculty and staff, as well as among other Black organizations on campus and across the California State University system as deemed appropriate.
- To support other on-campus organizations and causes seeking equitable treatment around racial and social justice issues.
- To advise, support, counsel, and assist Black students of California State University, Northridge, in their academic and social integration into University life, through appropriate means, including office appointment and planned events.
