Learning art is an opportunity to try new things. That's why as an Art minor, you will be able to explore a variety of media including animation, ceramics, drawing, graphic design, illustration, painting, photography/video, printmaking and sculpture.

As a student you will have access to a sculpture shop, a printmaking lab, animation classrooms and other professional-level labs to help you achieve your artistic goals. The CSUN Art Galleries also offer a number of rotating exhibits and the opportunity for students to display their own work.

Studying in Los Angeles means having the art industry right outside your door. Check out a new exhibit at The Broad Museum, expand your network at gallery openings, or build your resume with an internship at an animation studio.

What You'll Learn

As an Art minor, you'll learn the principles of drawing, as well as two-dimensional and three-dimensional design. You can also take upper-division courses in art history where you will learn about art from all over the world.
