GE Honors Rising Scholars

The GE Honors Rising Scholar Award is a $5,000 scholarship awarded to 10 first-year GE Honors Program students. The scholarship may be renewed for a second year if program, enrollment, and GPA requirements are maintained. GE Honors Rising Scholars are recognized across campus as exceptionally promising students.

Incoming first-time freshmen who have applied to the GE Honors program, have an exceptional academic record (a high school GPA of 3.75 or higher), and demonstrate unmet financial need are eligible. For further details about the scholarship requirements, refer to the  my Matador Scholarships page.

Eligible students are encouraged to apply through the myMatador Scholarship Portal. Applications are open until August 5, 2024.
