Summer Academy

Why should I become an EMBARC Summer Scholar?

Rooted in Community Cultural Wealth (CCW) frameworks, EMBARC embraces and celebrates the unique strengths that students bring from their family upbringing and backgrounds. This approach aims to create a supportive environment that recognizes and values students' lived experiences across different communities.

At the two-week intensive but exciting summer academy, EMBARC Scholars will receive meaningful training to deliver professional development skills workshops designed for community college students in STEMM, such as communicating with faculty, and training in professional and research skills that are relevant to your academic journey and future career. Additionally, you will be part of a tight-knit EMBARC Scholar community and potentially receive the opportunity to give back to your own community college campus by sharing the knowledge you have learned.
