Our college is proud to offer the annual Engineering & Computer Science Scholarship Application, a catch-all application designed to support and recognize outstanding undergraduate & graduate students in our engineering and computer science programs. This opportunity aims to reward academic excellence, leadership abilities, and in general our student's potential to succeed within the university. On average, there are 60+ scholarships available through this application each year.
Our scholarship application period typically opens in mid to late February, giving students within the college a chance to showcase their achievements and aspirations. ECS Scholarship Application for 2025-26 Coming Soon

Yes, two recommendations are mandatory for your application to be considered complete. The requirements for these recommendations are as follows:
- Recommendation form #1: Must be from a CECS faculty member.

- A faculty or staff member at CSUN
- A faculty or staff member from a community college or your high school

We recommend that you follow up directly with your recommenders to confirm they have submitted their forms. Do not contact the Office of the Dean to inquire about this. Due to the high volume of recommendations we receive, we are unable to check individual recommendation form submissions. It is the student's responsibility to ensure all parts of their application, including recommendation forms, are submitted by the deadline.
The scholarship committee typically concludes its review process by the end of April or early May. You will be notified of the results via your CSUN email address at that time. Be sure to check your CSUN email regularly during this period for any updates or announcements regarding your scholarship application.
If you are selected as a scholarship recipient, the award will be distributed in two installments; the first half will be disbursed in the Fall of the upcoming school year, and the second half will be disbursed the following spring.
