The Hiring Process

Application Filing Process

Employment applications are accepted only for currently posted job vacancies and must be received online by the listed review date or closing date and time.  If the position is currently posted on our career page, then we are accepting applications for that vacancy. A separate employment application form is required for each position you apply to. A resume may accompany the application, but will not substitute a completed application form.

A physical exam and/or fingerprinting may be required for some positions. Any requirements will be listed in the General Information section of the job advertisement.

Listed positions include vacancies within California State University, Northridge and its auxiliaries. The auxiliary vacancies are not state positions. Auxiliaries include The University Corporation (TUC), the University Student Union (USU), and Associated Students (AS).

Applications are evaluated on the basis of the information provided to the search committee. • Based on a review of all applicants, the most qualified candidates will be invited to appear for an interview with the search committee established by the hiring department.
  • Applicants who do not meet minimum qualifications, will be notified that they are no longer under consideration.
  • Candidates selected for an interview, will be notified by the search committee or the Talent Acquisition team if not selected for the position.
  • Applicants not selected to be advanced in the process will be notified when the position is filled and/or closed.
