Check your CSUN email and CSUN Portal often for important updates. Visit CSUN IT's User ID and Password page to activate your CSUN account.
We understand that finances are a big part of your decision to attend a university. At CSUN, 88% of students receive financial aid! Learn more about options available to you at Financial Aid & Scholarships.
The 2024-2025 Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA) opened on Dec. 31, 2024. New FAFSA applicants can create an account now. Both students and parents/guardians will need an account. (Your username and password will become your FSA ID.) It can take 1-3 days to verify account information.
We recommend submitting the FAFSA or CADAA as soon as possible once the forms become available. CSUN’s federal school code is 001153.

Show off your Matador pride in a new CSUN hoodie! Find an assortment of Matador merch in the Campus Store. It’s also where you can purchase or rent textbooks, or purchase technology and other supplies.
The International and Exchange Student Center offers support and resources for international and exchange students as they prepare to arrive at CSUN and throughout their time as members of the campus community. Be sure to review and complete the Immigration Requirements for New International Students.
You’ll find help with enrolling in classes using these resources:
- Calendars for each term of registration.
- How-to guides to navigate the CSUN Portal and Student Center.
- Registration guide (tips, FAQ and more).
- Student forms (e.g., to drop a class after online access ends, name change, etc.).
CSUN is home to hundreds of student clubs and organizations. From the Anime Club to the VEX Robotics Club, there’s something for everyone, and clubs are a great way to make friends, explore interests and further your passions. Search organizations and events by interest or major at MataSync. You can also participate in intramural sports and sport clubs.
