The Matador Advising Hub offers ongoing workshops on academic success topics relevant to first year students as well as free one-on-one meetings with a highly trained Peer Academic Coach (PAC) who can offer a myriad of resources and will assist you in developing academic skills to help you thrive in college.
Topics covered in workshops and in one-on-one meetings with the PAC include: Time-Management Skills, Note Taking, Effective Communication with Professors, Beating Test Anxiety, Self-Care, Health & Nutrition and much more. Email communication will be sent out to your CSUN email account soon.
If you are considering taking courses during summer and would like to explore your options, please attend one of the Hub’s Summer School Workshops. We will be discussing the difference between taking courses here at CSUN vs a community college and answering any questions you may have. If you need advisement for what courses to take during the summer, please call our front desk at (818)-677-2900 to ask about meeting with an advisor.
