Training Program
Training Opportunities for MFT/MSW Students
Trainees are current students in MFT or MSW programs seeking site placement to fulfill program requirements. Trainees have the opportunity to work in the Crisis Multidisciplinary Team, Mental Health and Intensive Case Management Departments. Trainees gain experience in:
- Working with clients (individuals, couples, families, groups)
- Providing services in-home or in-office to earn BBSE hours
- Attending in-services and supervision
- Taking shifts for hotline response and accompaniment services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a social science field
- Minimum six months of related field experience
- Completion of our comprehensive training program (40-60 hours) covering:
- Child maltreatment response and treatment
- Domestic and sexual violence
- Substance abuse intervention
- Mandated reporting procedures
- Anti-discrimination practices
- Victim rights
- Documentation and record keeping
- Family systems and functioning
- Suicide prevention
- Crisis intervention techniques
- Community resource navigation
