Personal Background: My parents are from Egypt. I have 4 cats. My favorite food of all time is spaghetti.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I love playing basketball and have done it ever since my junior year of high school. I love drawing when I'm bored. I love playing video games in my free time.

If you had to describe yourself in 5 words, what would they be?
Smart, Friendly, Resilient, Hardworking, Determined

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to maybe make a revolution in the automotive industry. Maybe make a flying car or a submarine car.

Personal Background: I come from a humble Salvadoran household. Am the oldest of 3 children. First one to make it to college.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Reading books that I am not assigned. Listening to music when not in the mood. Bettering up my drawing skills.

Introvert, trustworthy, sincere, hardworking, attentive

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I want to help people and have people remember me for the kindness I've shown.

Career(s) that you're interested in pursuing: 2D Animation Design, Editing, Film Directing and Producing

Personal Background: Born in Shiraz, Iran, Max never thought of himself getting his undergraduate degree in California. With his first encounter with the Film Industry in High School. He decided to pursue a Cinema Television Arts degree at CSUN to potentially work at his favorite company, Cartoon Network. While uncertain about finding a career in this industry, he has in mind to double major or get a minor in computer science as well!

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Walking around the pool, playing guitar, singing, making music, and watching cartoons

Dedicated, leader, passionate, professional, mature

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I am hoping to share stories from perspectives that are underrepresented. I am hoping to make a world in which everyone can be true to themselves and not feel the need to fake their sense of identity. I want to contribute to a world of happiness!

Personal Background: I grew up in a Hispanic household as the youngest sibling. Born in El Salvador in the capital of San Salvador.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
My interest is to watch movies and play video games. I also like to hang out with friends. One of my hobbies outside school is volunteering at food productions or special events that B2F does and going to the gym in my free time.

If you had to describe yourself in 5 words, what would they be?
Smart, Wise, Respectful, Responsible, and open-minded.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I want to make a difference in the lives of people who are first-generation like me to succeed in the path of higher education. The other difference I want to make in the world is for people to follow their dreams and not be afraid to try something new.

Personal Background: I am from Venezuela and I came to this country with my family to have a better life, in addition to continuing to grow academically. My biggest inspiration is my parents, from them, I learned that by being resilient, determined, and doing things with enthusiasm we can achieve our goals.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
My favorite hobbies include playing tennis, playing with my dogs, and also spending time with my family and friends.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I would like to show the world that being a kind person has a positive impact on our society. I would like to inspire people to help people in need, to take care of our planet, and to respect animals

Personal Background: My name is Jose Diaz, I am from Guatemala. I grew up in Bolivia and now I'm living in LA and being a B2F scholar, and couldn't be more happy about it.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I love sports, music, and video games. I always like to try out new things and get out of my comfort zone.

Positive, passionate, easygoing, kind, and perseverant.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
Grow and be able to resonate in other people's lives to leave good energy, and wise and meaningful thoughts to make the world better.

Career(s) that you're interested in pursuing: Automotive Industry

Personal Background: I was born on December 8, 2004, in Mexico. I came to the U.S. at a young age when I was around 3 years old. My parents wanted a better life for me and my sibling and coming to the U.S. was the opportunity for us to chase our dreams. Being the first person in my family to go to college is something I am deeply proud of after everything my parents had to go through to get to this point. I owe it all to them and hope to exceed even more and be successful in the future.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
One of my biggest interests is that I am very into legos I enjoy the creativity when it comes to building them. Some of my favorite hobbies I enjoy doing after school are playing video games, working out, and playing soccer.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to make a difference in the world by being a helpful attribute to those around me. As well I hope when it comes to working as an Engineer I hope to be a creative and reliable resource in my work field inspiring others to be better and exceed.

Personal Background: I am a CM major at CSUN I graduated Highschool cool in 2023 and I’m part of Cohort 7.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I like to run. I ran the Los Ángeles Marathon 6 times. I also like to wrestle and do jujitsu.

I hope to teach people what I know and help people every day.

Personal Background: I am Mexican, I was born and raised most of my life in Jalisco, Mexico. I migrated to the United States 5 years ago with my family. I am the youngest of my 5 siblings and I am the first generation student in my family.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I love nature, I enjoy going on hikes, I also love going to the cinema to watch movies and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I would describe myself as persistent, kind, loving, genuine, and funny.

Personal Background: I am a first-generation student and the oldest daughter in a Hispanic household. I was born here and raised in the SFV but my parents are both from Mexico, Zacatecas. My biggest support group is my family and significant other who have helped me get to where I am now.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
My interests and hobbies outside of school are coloring or painting, listening to music, spending time with my significant other, and watching sunsets.

Personal Background: I'm 18 years old I was born and raised In El Salvador. I came to the US when I was 14 years old, and I didn’t know any English I live with my mom and my little brother.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I have a part-time job every day, when I'm not working or studying I spend time with my family and friends or even listen to music or watch TV. When I have free time I spend time sleeping a lot.

Personal Background: I am the youngest in the family and I am a first-generation college student. My whole life I have been raised in Canoga Park alongside my parents who came from El Salvador and have worked hard to give my sisters and I a comfortable life.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
My hobbies are reading, baking, and collecting K-pop albums of my favorite artists.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to motivate others that pursuing higher education is important and not intimidating. I also hope that with my finance degree, I can help bring success to the future company/companies I work at.

I enjoy watching movies and TV shows. I am currently self-teaching myself the keyboard.

Personal Background: I am 1 of 10 kids yet I am second to youngest, so I only have 1 younger sibling. I live with my mom, and it has not been smooth growing up, but I do it all for her and want to make her proud.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Some interests of mine are that I like to read, do art, play piano, bake, cook, and sleep.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
To provide free after school programs and summer programs that will help the development of special needs children.

Personal Background
Being a first-generation student, I am eager to explore new things, learn new things, and succeed academically.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Some of my hobbies are listening to music and reading. Some of my favorite music genres are indie pop and alternative; my favorite artist is Lana Del Rey. I enjoy reading a variety of book genres since I always learn something new and discover new interests.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope that I can help any businesses and people that I get to work with in the future succeed.

Career(s) that you're interested in pursuing: I’m interested in pursuing a career within the law field, particularly becoming a lawyer

Personal Background: I’m a first-generation college student both of my parents are from Mexico. I have wanted to be a lawyer since I was in 5th grade and have been looking forward to attending college for a long time.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I love listening to music and going to concerts, some of my favorite artists are Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and Conan Gray as well as Olivia Rodrigo. I also love painting and creating art both traditional art and photography.

If you had to describe yourself in 5 words, what would they be?
Ambitious, determined, generous, open-minded, kind

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to make a safer environment and space for women to speak about their own experiences by knowing there is someone who believes them and who is willing to fight for them. I would also really hope to put more kindness into many people’s lives.

Personal Background: I was born here in the United States to a Salvadoran mother and Guatemalan father of which one graduated high school while the other dropped out. Out of five other siblings, I am the only one to pursue a college career.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Outside of school in my free time, I love to go weightlifting at the gym. On the weekends every Sunday, I run with this extracurricular program known as SRLA (Students Run LA) to help us prepare for the LA Marathon every March. I also loved to play football when I was still a student at Canoga Park High School.

Strong, happy, confident, charming, and motivated.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to one day help people in need or who are struggling in the career I choose to do one day once I've figured out exactly what I want to do.

Personal Background: I am a first-generation college student and the only one in my family to be attending college. I have always been interested in the medical field and am excited to be attending CSUN, and now starting my journey of pursuing higher education.

I love being around my friends, going to the gym, or simply being at home taking care of my pets.

Personal Background: My family is from Mexico and I was born and raised here in the valley. I am an only child and a first-generation college student. My parents have always encouraged me to attend college and it's something I wanted to do because it can open many doors in the workforce.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I like to play volleyball and enjoy watching soccer games. I love hanging out with my friends and watching novelas. I also enjoy loom knitting, taking pictures, and doing crafts/decorations.

If you had to describe yourself in 5 words, what would they be?
Responsible, joyful, determined, kind, independent

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I would like to help others and inspire them to achieve their goals. I also hope to help people be successful in the financial aspect.
