- Tom & Ethel Bradley Center, an archive of over one million images from Los Angeles-based photographers

- The China Institute, a center that promotes educational and cultural exchanges between China and the United States
Summer theatre program for teens
- Teenage Drama Workshop, summer productions where teenagers can learn and perform
Music therapy
- Music Therapy Wellness Clinic, a clinic that provides music activities for children and adults with disabilities and special challenges
Business development & entrepreneurship
- Wells Fargo Center for Small Business & Entrepreneurship, a center that connects CSUN students to small businesses to face real-world challenges
- I-Corps Program, an incubator that helps people develop their new idea or technology

- Risk and Insurance, a center that connects the CSUN community to the risk and insurance field
Financial literacy
- Consumer Resource Center, a community resource that helps people resolve consumer issues such as financial planning and avoiding identity theft
Income tax services for low-income residents
- Bookstein Institute’s VITA Tax Clinic, a clinic that provides cost-free income tax assistance service to low-income residents
Climate, sustainability and urban farming
- Institute for Sustainability, an institute that promotes advancing environmental and food justice
Geospatial analysis and mapping (Geographic information systems)
- Center for Geospatial Science & Technology (CGST), a research center that provides geospatial data for businesses and other groups

- Institute for Community Health and Wellbeing, an institute that fosters healthful living through community and campus partnerships
Boating and water safety education, outdoor adventures
- Aquatic Center at Castaic Lake, serves nearly 11,000 people a year courses, community service programs and activities such as water skiing, sailing and fishing
Gender and women support programs
- Women's Research and Resource Center, a center that seeks to enhance campus and community understanding of gender and women’s issues and concerns at CSUN
Nutrition counseling and workshops
- Marilyn Magaram Center, a center that enhances and promotes health and wellbeing through research, education and services in food science, nutrition and dietetics.
Parks and recreation / Ropes course
- Recreation & Tourism Management, a center that promotes health and overall well-being through a variety of recreation and leisure experiences
Adaptive sports program for veterans
- Valley GO!, a program that provides handcycling training and clinics to veterans and other community members.

- 3WINS, an exercise program designed for various fitness levels, free of age and gender
- Commit to Be Fit, a free online- and in-person-based group fitness program
Ethics and equity training
- Health Equity and Research Education Center (HERE), a center that promotes scholarly collaboration to empower communities toward reducing health disparities
Digital methods and technologies
- Center for Digital Humanities, a center that researches digital methods and digital technologies, disseminates media and studies the impact of digital technology

- Center for Engineering and Computer Science Research and Education, a center that promotes activities relating the engineering and computer science community to the faculty and students of the College of Engineering and Computer Science

- Center for Assessment, Research & Evaluation (CARE), a center that evaluates projects, programs and service opportunities for faculty, students, staff and the surrounding community
Public policy and youth advocacy
- Center for Southern California Studies, a center that facilitates research, education and service on public policy issues facing Southern California
- ReLAY Institute, is a collaboration of public, private and philanthropic agencies from across L.A. County to support opportunity youth

- WM Keck Computational Materials Theory Center, a center that fosters multidisciplinary and innovative research in computational materials science
- Interdisciplinary Research Institute for Sciences (IRIS), an institute that conducts interdisciplinary research projects at CSUN and similar centers at other universities and with industries
Culture and community
- Center for Asian Finance and Business Research, a center that pursues scholarly research and publications related to Asia's finance and business through collaboration with faculty and researchers from the region
- Center for the Study of the Peoples of the Americas, a center that promotes interest in and knowledge of peoples descendent of Latin American communities, whether of Latino/a, Asian, European, African or indigenous origins, within the US and south of the border
- Central American Research and Policy Institute, an institute that supports the socioeconomic, cultural and civic development of the transnational Central American community
- DuBois-Hamer Institute for Academic Achievement, an institute that strives to increase the recruitment and retention of students from economically disadvantaged communities to the CSUN campus
- Institute for Social & Behavioral Sciences, an institute that coordinates and facilitates interdisciplinary research activities related to the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences

- Center on Disabilities, provides training and supports research to improve the world for people with disabilities

- Autism Clinic, providing a variety of services from behavioral services, social skills and parent education

- Language, Speech & Hearing Center, offering evaluation and/or therapy services to children and adults with communication disorders
Crisis intervention and support for domestic violence and sexual assault
- StrengthUnited, provides services for abuse survivors
Individual and family counseling
- Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic, offers counseling services to members of our local community on a sliding-scale fee basis
Therapeutic exercise
- Center of Achievement through Adapted Physical Activity, provides fitness activities for moderately to severely disabled people on land and in treatment-specific pools
- Physical Therapy Center for Advanced Clinical Practice, a center that offers physical therapy, rehabilitation services, and bone density assessment
Education, advocacy and support for families with special needs children
- Family Focus Resource Center, provides resources to support children with (or at-risk for) special needs, their families and the professionals who serve them

- Center for Partnerships for Educational Reform, a center that creates partnerships with other institutions of higher education, school districts, offices of education and other organizational units

- Institute for the Advancement of Educational Studies and Programs, an institute that coordinates and facilitates interdisciplinary research activities related to education
- Center for Teaching and Learning, a center that conducts research to explore innovative programs that impact the preparation of teachers and school-related professionals
- Teaching, Learning & Counseling Consortium, providing a variety of services for individuals and families including educational therapy, parent-to-parent mentoring and resource referrals.

- Secondary Education Center for Research, Professional Development and Educational Outreach, enrichment and academic classes for middle school and high school students
K-12 Science programs
- Center for Cancer and Developmental Biology, promotes teaching and research in areas concerned with cancer and developmental biology through courses and workshops
Literacy assessment and instruction
- LA Times Literacy Center, tutors assist young people grades K -12 improve their literacy skills
