Employment & Income Verification
CSU Northridge uses The Work Number by Equifax to help current and former employees verify their employment and income. This service is useful for loan applications, mortgages, job searches, rental approvals, and social benefits like housing or food assistance.
The employee self-service portal from The Work Number is designed for you to have access to your employment and income verification information. The following services are available:
Under the Employment Data Report tab, you can view all the employment information CSUN has provided to The Work Number®. It also includes information about the verifiers that have requested your data in the past 24 months.
Under the Letters Center tab, you can download three letters that provide proof of Employment, Employment & Income, and/or Immigration:
- Employment Letter: Provides proof of employment for instances outside of verification requests from credentialed verifiers.
- Employment & Income Letter: Provides proof of employment and income for instances outside of verification from credentials verifiers.
- Immigration Letter: Print out or download an employment letter designed specifically for use as employment and income verification with Immigration Offices.
Under the Salary Key tab, you can generate up to three numeric codes that you provide to verifiers, granting them with one-time access to your income information.
Note: It can take up to three months for job data to reflect new appointments and changes in the CSUN system. Faculty can find additional information about employment in their appointment letter; a copy of the appointment letter is generally available from your department office.
To get started go to The Work Number by Equifax and register to create a user account to get instant online verification reports. Registration is a one-time process and takes just a few minutes online. For Commercial users, all verifications must be obtained from the secure website.
