Human Behavior & the Social Environment (HBSE).

MSW required.  2 years minimum experience in (1) social work practice and (2) teaching and/or training experience required.  Candidates should demonstrate interest and competence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population using an anti-oppressive, intersectional, trauma-informed, collaborative perspective that directly addresses our mission.

Fractional Amount of Base Salary ($5,507 - $7,481).

Paid in Six Monthly Installments.

Research. 

Courses:

  • SWRK 535: Social Work Research Methods I
  • SWRK 635: Social Work Research Methods II
  • SWRK 698: Graduate (Final Research) Project

MSW or closely related degree required.  PhD in Social Work or related field preferred.  2 years minimum experience teaching and/or training experience required.  Candidates should demonstrate interest and competence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population using an anti-oppressive, intersectional, trauma-informed, collaborative perspective that directly addresses our mission.

Fractional Amount of Base Salary ($5,507 - $7,481).

Paid in Six Monthly Installments.

Practice (Micro/Mezzo Focus).

Courses:

SWRK 503: Psychosocial Assessment & Diagnostic Formulation

  • SWRK 510: Generalist Social Work Theory & Practice I
  • SWRK 520: Social Work Practice in Multicultural Contexts
  • SWRK 601: Advanced Social Work Practice with Urban Families I
  • SWRK 602: Advanced Social Work Practice II.

 

MSW required.  LCSW preferred. 4 - 5 years minimum experience in (1) social work practice and (2) teaching and/or training experience required. Candidates should demonstrate interest and competence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population using an anti-oppressive, intersectional, trauma-informed, collaborative perspective that directly addresses our mission.

Fractional Amount of Base Salary ($5,507 - $7,481).

Paid in Six Monthly Installments.

Practice (Macro/Community Focus). 

Courses: 

  • SWRK 521: Generalist Social Work Theory & Practice II
  • SWRK 621: Advanced Social Work Practice in Urban Communities

 

MSW required.  2 years minimum experience (1) as a macro practitioner (i.e., community organizer, program manager/administrator, policy analyst, political office, etc.) and (2) teaching and/or training experience required.  Candidates should demonstrate interest and competence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population using an anti-oppressive, intersectional, trauma-informed, collaborative perspective that directly addresses our mission. 

Fractional Amount of Base Salary ($5,507 - $7,481).

Paid in Six Monthly Installments.

Policy.

Practicum Education.

  • SWRK 522/522P: Generalist Practicum Education I and Placement
  • SWRK 523/523P: Generalist Practicum Education II and Placement
  • SWRK 622/622P: Specialist Practicum Education with Urban Communities I and Placement
  • SWRK 623/623P: Specialist Practicum Education with Urban Communities II and Placement

 

MSW required.  3 years minimum experience in (1) social work practice and (2) field instruction, teaching, field instruction certification, and other specialized training experience required.  Depending on field needs, applicant may be required to drive throughout LA County (including Antelope Valley), Ventura County, Orange County and/or Santa Barbara County. Candidates should demonstrate interest and competence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population using an anti-oppressive, intersectional, trauma-informed, collaborative perspective that directly addresses our mission.  Responsibilities include: 
• Consultant to specified agencies and field instructors, including implementation of student field education experiences as required.
• Assists in the development of student orientations, field coursework, and field instructor trainings.
• Communicate effectively in the classroom and with community partners
