Application Process:
- CSUN Undergraduate Student Application: https://www.calstate.edu/apply
- CSUN Music Department Application: submitted directly through website – with a prescreening video.
- Prescreen video is due 2-3 weeks prior to the general deadline.
- The application link will be emailed after you complete your CSU application.
- Video should showcase the applicant in full view.
- Invitation for live audition pending results of prescreening. If invited, we will request the following:
- Resume – (school experience, private teachers, ensemble experience, repertoire/tune list, relevant work experience, awards, etc.)
- Artistic statement – What is your musical background and influence? What are your goals as a musician and why is CSUN the right place for you to work toward them?
- Two letters of recommendation.
