Shemmassian is a professor and the Director of the Armenian Studies Program at the California State University, Northridge. He holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Los Angeles. His book, “The Armenians of Musa Dagh: From Obscurity to Genocide Resistance and Fame, 1840-1915,” was published in 2020 by the Armenian Series of The Press, California State University, Fresno. Los Angeles's Last Orange Trees

The campus of California State University at Northridge is located only a few miles from Woodland Hills. It's a fairly new college. It opened in 1956 with 2,500 students. Three years later, there were 6,000 students. By 1968, there were more than 15,000. Today, CSUN, as it's known, has an enrollment of 40,000. Markar Melkonian is a nonfiction writer and a retired lecturer in philosophy at California State University Northridge. He received a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1997. His books include The Philosophy and Common Sense Reader (Bloomsbury Academic, 2020), which is the first and only reader on the topic, and the well-reviewed book, Richard Rorty’s Politics: Liberalism at the End of the American Century (Humanities Press, 1999). Bandari was born in Iran and lived there until she was 18. She comes from a strong and dedicated Armenian family. Her siblings include Njdeh, Garegin and Narineh. She moved to Armenia and later to the United States to continue her education in the visual arts. No Surprises In Kamala Harris’s 20 Years Of Tax Returns

Harris has been a vocal supporter of tax disclosure by political officials and candidates. As a married couple, Harris and Emhoff have paid ETRs ranging from a low of 19.7% in 2023 to a high of 38.3% in 2019. The couple has claimed itemized deductions for state and local taxes, mortgage interest, and charitable contributions. Their donations have gone to a rather stable array of organizations, including the couple’s alma maters: Howard University; California State University, Northridge; and the University of Southern California. Harris and Emhoff have also donated regularly to the DC Central Kitchen. Other donations have been less regular, including $20 to Wikipedia in 2018 and $10,000 to UNICEF in 2016. -- Forbes Magazine

Research Shows The ‘Intervention’ That Helps AI Boost Customer Outcomes

Three researchers from California State University, Northridge, and the University of Maine, Orono, published a study investigating the impact of chatbots on customer outcomes. Dongling Huang, Dmitri G. Markovitch, and Rusty A.
