Health and Safety Policies and Protocols

Vaccination and Booster Policy

Vaccinations against COVID-19 are no longer required. The CSU COVID-19 Vaccination Policy has been updated to strongly recommend COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters for faculty, staff and students who are accessing university facilities or programs. COVID-19 vaccination and boosters are readily available through retail pharmacies, ambulatory care clinics, and through https://www.vaccines.gov/.

Masking

We will continue to require masking at the Klotz Student Health Center for our staff, patients, and visitors. Additionally, for employees and students who test positive and are subsequently cleared to return to campus after their isolation period, masking may be required as directed by our contact tracers.

For individuals who prefer to wear masks, we welcome this and support your decision to do so.

Employees may request a medical-grade or KN95 mask from their Department COVID Coordinator.

COVID-19 Coordinator Listings

COVID-19 Coordinators can place orders for masks (e.g., well-fitting medical style, KN95) at no charge to your department, and they can answer questions about the university’s COVID-19 policies and procedures. Other COVID-19 related supplies

Supplies such as N95 respirator masks, hand sanitizer, gloves and cleaning products should be ordered through your department.

Online Training: Safety in the Workplace During COVID-19

Per California OSHA requirements, all employees are required to complete the Safety in the Workplace During COVID-19 training for employees (select Northridge) before performing any work on campus.

Testing

We encourage students and employees to check the many free testing options now widely available across the greater Los Angeles region. Click here for a list of options within L.A. County. Free test kits are available at many Los Angeles County COVID-19 testing locations.
