Exposure and Reporting
On February 3, 2025, the CAL-OSHA COVID-19 workplace regulations under California Code Section 3205 expired. As a result, CSUN is no longer required to conduct and record contact tracing. Employees and students will no longer receive notifications of close contact exposure.
CSUN cares about your health and safety and recommends the following:
If you test positive for COVID:
- Consult your Personal Care Physician (PCP) to get tailored guidance on treatment, isolation duration, and when it’s safe to resume normal activities.
- Notify your manager if you will be out sick or to request approval to temporally work from home. Your medical diagnosis does not need to be communicated.
- You should not return to campus, until you have not had a fever for 24 hours and your symptoms have improved.
- It is recommended you wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask for a total of 10 days from symptom onset or your first positive test date when around others.
If you were exposed to someone with COVID-19:
- It is recommended you closely monitor your health and consult your PCP to get tailored guidance on treatment and testing.
