Academic & Non-Academic Student Opportunities

Working on campus during your educational career: A Rewarding and Enriching Experience

Admitted/enrolled CSUN students are eligible to apply for student employment positions throughout campus.

Working on campus while undertaking your coursework, offers you the ability to explore various campus work environments according to your personal preferences and capabilities, or to engage in academic-related work experiences. While student employees gain valuable knowledge regarding the culture of the workplace such as attendance, punctuality, teamwork, effective communication, and customer service skills, or practical experience that will help to prepare them for success in a future career, you also have the opportunity to work, build life-long connections with, and be mentored by faculty and staff who understand and appreciate your endeavors.

There are various types of student employment opportunities on campus:

Non-Academic Student Employment

Student Assistants perform duties ranging from unskilled to skilled and/or specialized, in a variety of positions that typically require the use of manual, clerical, public contact, and/or analytical skill.

Available non-academic Student Assistant positions are listed in the Career Center’s Handshake platform.
