The Office of Student Success (OSS) applies the values of community-centered justice, cultural and intellectual humility, high impact practices (HIPs), and action-oriented inquiry to lay the groundwork for an equity rich culture. Here are some examples of our framework in action.

Seal of Excelencia

CSUN prioritizes shaping an inclusive future as an HSI by leveraging the Seal of Excelencia’s data, practice, and leadership frameworks while leading national and CSU-wide efforts to advance equitable service to Latinx students and all learners through the Global HSI Equity Innovation Hub.

Black Student Success Initiative

CSUN established the Black Student Success Initiative (BSSI) to address design intentional structures of support for our Black Students.

DEI Grant

OSS partnered with Academic Technology to leverage real-time data insights to identify individual course equity gaps on the assignment level of granularity.

Identity Based Resource Centers (IBRCs)

OSS continues to partner with the Division of Student Affairs to create inclusive spaces for students to be their authentic selves and provide co-curricular and academic engagement opportunities.
