Minor in Urban Studies and Planning

Urban Studies and Planning is an interdisciplinary field that influences the future of neighborhoods, cities, and rural and metropolitan areas in a systematic way.

A minor in Urban Studies & Planning gives you the tools to shape better communities. You’ll learn how cities work, tackle real-world issues like housing and sustainability, and gain skills in problem-solving, policy, and design.

HOW TO ADD A MINOR?

  • Log in to the CSUN Student Portal, navigate to the Top Tools section, and click on the Student Center icon link.
  • Within the Student Center, under the Academics heading, select "Change Major/Minor" from the drop-down menu.

Program Requirements (18 Units)

  • All Urban Studies & Planning minors are required to complete 12 units of required courses and 6 units of electives.
