IR Data Workshops

IR facilitates data workshops on a variety of topics for campus constituencies, including department chairs, graduate program coordinators, faculty and staff involved in recruitment and outreach efforts, among others. These hands-on, inquiry-based workshops guide participants through dashboards by addressing questions about our students and our work. For example,

• How does current enrollment compare with enrollment in previous years?
• Who are our students and how have our students’ characteristics changed over time?
• How have applications, admissions, and enrollments changed in recent years?
• What do our students do and how much do they earn after graduation?

Each of our data workshops are guided by worksheets with questions like those listed above, along with information about how to answer them using the relevant dashboards.

Members of the CSUN community can log into myCSUNBox to browse and download worksheets from past workshops. Note that some worksheets use dashboards that are only available to some roles within the CSUN community (e.g., department chairs, advisors).
