Each November, CSUN proudly celebrates Native American Heritage Month, honoring the rich histories, diverse cultures, and enduring contributions of Native and Indigenous peoples. This month provides an opportunity for our campus community to learn, reflect, and engage with the stories and traditions that continue to shape our shared experience.
CSUN recognizes that our university resides on the traditional lands of the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians, whose ancestors have cared for this region for generations. We honor their ongoing relationship with this land and acknowledge the Indigenous communities throughout California who continue to sustain their cultures, languages, and ways of life.
Through a series of events, educational programs, and cultural celebrations, CSUN reaffirms its commitment to uplifting Native voices and fostering greater understanding of Indigenous heritage—past, present, and future. Join us as we celebrate and learn together in the spirit of respect, connection, and community.
