Summer Movie Fest
Taking place on the Library Lawn, Summer Movie Fest will screen an amazing movie along with activities, food trucks and occasional giveaways!
Summer Movie Fest will happen every Thursday starting on June 4th and ending on August 6th!
Food trucks, music and games start at 6pm and the movies will start at dusk! Students, faculty, staff, the local community, and families are welcome to attend.

- Is the event free?
- Yes! Summer Movie Fest is free to attend. No registration or tickets are required to attend.
- Is parking free?
- There is free parking located around the outskirts of the CSUN campus on surface streets.
- Otherwise, standard campus parking rates apply. Parking rates max out at $10.45 for a full-day pass. The cheaper rates depend on when you arrive and how long you stay on campus.
- In order to park, you'll want to find a student parking spot (notated by the white-lined parking stalls) and then text the phrase "CSUNPKG" to the number "25023". From there, the link will prompt you to enter your license plate details and pay for parking.
- Are pets welcome?
- Pets are welcome, but must remain on a leash at all times.
- Will there be food for sale?
- Food trucks and/or food vendors will be on site for purchase.
- Can I bring my own food?
- Outside food is welcome.
- What items should I bring?
- We recommend bringing a chair and/or blanket, a reusable water bottle, and cutlery if you are bringing food to the event.
- Can I smoke at the event?
- No, CSUN is a 100% smoke-free and tobacco-free campus.
- What time does the movie start?
- Music, food and activities start at 6:00pm.
- The movies will start about 15-minutes after sunset each week.
- How can I be more sustainable at the event?
- Bring Your Own Everything: water bottle to refill, reusable utensils to eat with, and reusable straws.
- Leave No Trace: Leave your area better than how you found it. Pick up trash around your area and don't leave anything behind.
- Sort Your Waste:
- Green Bin: Food, brown napkins
- Blue Bin: Aluminum cans, plastic bottles, plastic cups, glass bottles, and brown bags that are clean, dry, and empty.
- Black Bin: Everything else! Chip bags, snack wrappers, plastic utensils, food trays, to-go containers, and plastic bags.
- Are there any other rules I should know?
- Children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Out of respect for others, please limit talking and other disturbances during the movie.
